Anna Sui

I had personally never heard of Anna Sui before we were given a list of makeup brands to look into and choose one from. I had a little look at all the brands that I hadn’t previously heard of and I really liked the way Anna Sui’s products are presented and advertised. Therefore I have chosen Anna Sui as a brand to carry out all my research for this project.

Who is Anna Sui?

Anna Sui was originally a fashion designer from New York who has a very creative side; she often includes cultural references of Japan within her clothing creating exiting designs. She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York after leaving secondary school. Her first collection was released in 1981. In 1991 she premiered her first runaway show.

It is believed that her career is a classic American success story. Today Anna Sui has over 50 boutiques in eight different countries and her collections are sold in over 300 shops in 30 countries. When she opened her first 1992 in Greene Street, Soho, New York the décor included Victorian furniture. Purple walls, papier machier dolly heads and rock n’ roll posters that represented her quirky style. This was when she also launched her cosmetic range including fragrances. Her beautiful makeup packaging and fragrance bottle design have become collectors’ items.

Anna Sui’s makeup and beauty products have come a long way since they first became available in 1992. Below is a list of all the different products that are available:
